Yo,
Seriously, though. There can be more than one. In fact, you wouldn't believe how many times I've wished that Serrica had a kindred spirit in another player's character. So jump in.
Anyhoo, I've never tried a Druid/Cleric combination before, and they're surprisingly good. They only work with the more primal or nature-related gods (though there may just be a way to make a Druid/Cleric of Gond work if you put your mind to it...), but, thanks to the one-step rule, you can roll one up for a deity of any Alignment. Convenient, huh?
And unlike the more awkward dual-spellcasting-class builds like Sorcerer/Wizard or Cleric/Wizard, both Druids and Clerics rely on the same two Abilities: Wisdom (for spells) and Charisma (for Turn/Rebuke undead for Clerics, and for Animal Empathy for Druids). Managing two different spell lists can still be a hassle--especially in the heat of battle--but every rose has its thorn.
(Also, Healing is a heck of a Domain. It even buffs up your potions, healing kits and Druid healing spells! That Druid/Cleric combination keeps looking better and better. Too bad the Armor Class is still crap.)
Anyway, Luthic. This is one of the more confusing deity articles I've read, no doubt thanks to 4th Edition's bungling. I'm going to assume that "Alignment: Chaotic Evil / Formerly: Neutral Evil" means "Alignment was Neutral Evil before 4th Edition and its new Alignment system came along and crapped everything up". So Luthic's NE.
So what's with the worshiper Alignment(s) block? Luthic can have Lawful Neutral worshipers but not True Neutral worshipers? I wanted Dushak to be True Neutral too; if I make her Neutral Evil, I'll have to play her as some kind of extreme eco-terrorist or something. And I was wanting to make her more the True Neutral "sullen, wounded outcast who needs to adopt a new 'tribe' yet would rather keep to herself for fear of getting hurt by other people again" type. Why wouldn't Luthic have True Neutral followers too?
Luthic's Domains are a bit confusing too, with how they're written in that article. Can we assume that her Domains are Earth, Evil, Healing and Protection for the purposes of NWN? I figure that she's the goddess of all those orc women who have to stay home, hunt, gather, cook food, raise kids and maintain the camps while all the orc men and their manly male orc gods are off waging war on everyone else, so she's kind of like the angry housewife of the orcish pantheon. What do you think?
