So today I got the bright idea to have Serrica scribe Invisibility Purge. There are a few baddies on the server who cast Invisibility, so it would be a handy alternative to casting Hammer of the Gods and hoping that the baddie gets caught in the blast radius. And at the cost of some Gold and Experience, Serrica could have a few Invisibility Purges at hand while filling her Third Level spell slots with the usual Prayer, Animate Dead and other spells that I like so much. Casting from scrolls is rarely as good as casting firsthand, but it's better than nothing. But when I went to cast Invisibility Purge on a blank scroll, the spell was grayed out. The game engine wouldn't let me do it. And I was wondering why. But neither the spell's description nor the Wiki had any answers for me. As near as I can figure: • It's not a Range: Personal issue. Serrica can scribe other Personal spells (like Divine Favor) just fine. • It's not a Spell Level issue. Serrica can scribe other Third Level spells (like Prayer), and she can scribe spells of higher Levels (like Raise Dead). • It's not a Domain spell issue. Invisibility Purge isn't a Domain spell for any cleric Domain, including but not limited to Serrica's two Domains. • Invisibility Purge hasn't been altered on this server to exclude spellcasters from scribing it, according to Spell Changes and Fixes. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Serrica and I really could use a couple of Invisibility Purge scrolls.

Oops, nevermind. When I checked the Wiki entry for the Scribe Scroll feat, I was Searching for "Invisibility Purge" expecting to get hits for any Invisibility-Purge-related caveats or exceptions. I didn't get any hits. Then, after starting this topic, I skimmed that big list of spells at the bottom. There's no entry for Invisibilty Purge. So it turns out that there should have been one hit for "Invisibility Purge" (to detail the costs for scribing the spell), but instead there were none. So the answer: Bioware, in their infinite wisdom, decided that Invisibility Purge was beyond any mere mortal's ability to scribe and excluded it from the list. Don't ask me why Bioware decided thus. You can scribe Improved Invisibility till you're in the poorhouse, but for some mysterious reason you're not allowed to scribe Invisibility Purge to help defend yourself from those spellcasters who do scribe a bazillion Improved Invisibility scrolls and use them with wild abandon. Go figure, huh?
