I thought I'd start by posting the Critical Rebuild & CEP 2.4:
Critical Rebuild (Direct Load Link)-files.bioware.com/neverwinternights/updates/windows/english/NWNEnglish1.69HotUUpdate.exe
CEP 2.4 (Direct Load Link)-

Since Bioware has dropped the ball on NWN there's a community site that has been picking up where it left off. There's lots of impressive stuff from both player side as well as DM/module builder side-a plethora of materials for all things NWN.

Just like with the critical rebuild taking the game to v1.69, there are further patches available to improve game play. They are backwards compatible (v1.70 confirmed).v1.71 (is in pre-release)
v.170-

Along with this, I also highly reccommend NWNCQ- An overide which does retexture mapping of the deffault tileset, adds ceilings and retextures some of the placeables. It greatly updates the graphics of the game.
NWNCQ-

Another good find is this; it's called Project Q. Similar in scope to CEP but more focused towards visual effects. It pairs well with the options listed above.
Project Q-

Haven't figured out how to get this one to work but it improved the gameclient and sheds gamespy-

Module Side
Additional tileset options-

Also, there is coding for NWNX & NWNX2 which the NWNCX works with which greatly expands the module/DM options including self resetting module and bug detecting code.
There are other haks and overides I'm fond of as well and will and them soon. Happy Hunting! ^_^
