Seeing as I have a singing, dancing Lliiran character whom I occasionally play on FRC (on those very rare occasions when the server's up and I feel like playing something besides Pirate Isles), which Classes or Prestige Classes would most accurately suit a Scarlet Mummer? Bard? Rogue? Bard/Rogue? Cleric? Purple Dragon Knight? forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Lliirawww.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rl/20061115aen.wikipedia.org/wiki/LliiraNot that I would necessarily convert Neela from a singing, dancing Joybringer to a singing, dancing Scarlet Mummer, mind you; Neela apologizes to critters and asks if they're all right after she beats them up. She's not all that zealous about killing folks, even if they do deserve it (like, say, my Loviatan cleric on that same server). Plus, she's the type of dancer who doesn't like to wear footwear, and the Mummers are all about those bladed boots. But still, the possibility has crossed my mind. Thanky!

Definitely a dex based character. Other than that, anything would work: "Most Mummers are lithe and athletic, even acrobatic, but Mummers can be of any class capable of devoutly worshipping Lliira."

Wouldn't work. Assassins are Evil. Lliira is Good. And Lliira keeps a very close eye on her Mummers. Evil characters probably wouldn't last long as Mummers, if only because what Lliira calls joy and what your typical evil guy calls joy tend to be two different things. Definitely a dex based character. Other than that, anything would work: "Most Mummers are lithe and athletic, even acrobatic, but Mummers can be of any class capable of devoutly worshipping Lliira." Yes, definitely a Dex-heavy character. Given the Mummers' modus and all, something like a Bard/Rogue with Improved Unarmed Strike and high Tumble might work, perhaps Knockdown and Improved Knockdown to represent all the flips, trips, grapples and takedowns as well. The Bard's Perform skill would make the Mummer talented as a dancer, acrobat and entertainer, and Sneak Attack could represent feints, sucker punches and circular, indirect attacks (while helping to compensate for the sucky non-Monk unarmed strike damage). Good thing Neela's 100% Bard at the moment. That combination might work quite nicely. On a slightly related note, does this server have any red roses?

I think you can reasonably wield a dagger or a shortsword or something like that. While they prefer to kill Loviatarans with blade boots, I don't think they are disallowed from using other weapons. They seem to be pretty practical compared to most Joybringers ..
I'm sure you can acquire a red rose.

I remember only finding one red rose back when Greengrass came around. Rom Zargo sells chrysanthemums, but not roses. Serrica ended up dumping a lot of mums, yellow tulips and white lilies all over Palaggar. Maybe this mysterious and yet undiscovered merchant added to the server back in August has red roses in unlimited supply.

I vote for a fighter. Since they protect the temples and attack Loviatans, that sounds like guard/soldier type work to me.

But it sounds to me like the Mummers' form of temple defense is the "best defense" kind: go out, sneak up, hit them before they hit you and leave a snazzy calling card before you make tracks. And they're known to be lithe, acrobatic sorts, which tend to be in short supply among Fighters (save for the occasional Dex-ocentric, lightly armored Fighter with Tumble and similar Skills cross-classed). After all, Fighters aren't the only ones who guard stuff.

...on the other hand, Fighters get all those nice extra Feats. Wanna get Whirlwind Attack before Level 6? A human Fighter can do it. So maybe a Dex-heavy Fighter/Rogue or Fighter/Bard would be a good choice for a Mummer, too. Too bad Monks are too far removed from Lliira's Alignment, and they're mutually exclusive with the Bard class. Otherwise, a Rogue/Monk or a Bard/Monk might be a pretty good pick. Did you ever wonder why Rogues and Monks can take Perform as a Class skill in tabletop but can't take Perform at all in NWN? Me too.
