On a small, drawn paper scroll inside the hall of Palaggar's Waukeen Complex:
"Ahoy, ye heavy with coin. As an open trade town, Palaggar has much to offer for both you and me. And I am a sort who believes that knowledge, wisdom and revelation are commodities as much as anything else. And so, without any further ado...
What I wish to sell
Tortoise shells: 10 Lions each A tortoise shell and an idea for what to do with it: 100 Lions
Krenshar hides: 15 Lions each A krenshar hide and an idea for what to do with it: 300 Lions
A lump of steel coral: 100 Lions A lump of steel coral and an idea for what to do with it: 450 Lions
Two ideas for what to do with cold iron: 500 Lions
Four ideas for what to do with adamantine: 4,000 Lions
A Potion of Dragon's Breath
With this flask, the power and fury of a red dragon's breath can be yours. Drink, aim your lips and blow. But take great care, for grievous harm will befall any caught in your fiery blast. I ask 700 Lions for it.
A Coral Sharpshooter crossbow with 300 common bolts, 600 seagull bolts, 100 harpy bolts and 15 paralytic bolts
Born and developed in the sea's heart amid the contentions betwixt merfolk and sahuagin, this light crossbow not only looses its quarrels underwater smoothly and without stumble but is also quite bloody accurate over vast distances. Though it will serve most handsomely on land, beneath the waves is where the Coral Sharpshooter truly shows its mettle. I ask 12,000 Lions for the whole lot.
An Adamantine Tower Shield
With this shield, I made a great butchery of the merrow horde in but a few days past. The adamantine plate is quite impervious to the merrows' tridents and ring blades, and even in the thick of them was I not greatly imperiled. Regretably, the shield is too heavy and bulky for my needs, and I must pursue lighter fare. Mayhaps this shield will change a brawnier warrior into an unstoppable glacier of metal and thews. I ask 36,000 Lions for it. If this sum be too rich for your purse, let us reason together.
What I wish to buy (Prices may or may not be negotiable, but be warned: I take very poorly to being cheated.)
Comfrey leaves: 15 Lions each
Flasks or vials of holy water: 25 Lions each A flask or vial of holy water, with certainty of which god blessed the water: 30 Lions
Clumps of spragnum moss: 40 Lions each
Magic scrolls with the "Charm Person or Animal" imbuement: 75 Lions each
Peryton eggs: 100 Lions each
Knowledge of what to do with sprigs of moon vine: 100 Lions
Knowledge of what to do with the ichors harvested from various slimes and oozes: 100 Lions
Knowledge of what to do with silk glands harvested from ettercaps: 100 Lions
Knowledge of the history of the Sanctuary of the Renewing Dawn, before and including the temple's sinking: 250 Lions
The services of a dwarf or other person fluent in the written Dwarven tongue, to help with translations in the ancient dwarven tomb near Palaggar: 300 Lions, with the translator's safety and protection assured.
Knowledge of the location of an intact and working teleporter apparatus: 500 Lions
Detailed knowledge of a certain master wizard's history after he fled his overrun manor on the uncharted island oft called "Dodo Island" and came to Prespur: We will speak further about your price.
Pray find me if you wish to come to any of these trades or agreements. I am most commonly found either in Palaggar or along the beaches to her East.
Thanky. --Serrica Thallys Witness to the Sea's Eternal Glory"

The Palaggar notice is replaced with a similar but amended notice. A day later, a similar notice appears on a support beam inside the Drowned Rat:
"Ahoy, ye shrewd barterers. Sembia prides herself on being a nation of commerce and prosperity, and Uarhold shares in her ideals. And I am a sort who believes that knowledge, wisdom and revelation are commodities as much as anything else. And so, without any further ado...

With this shield, I have again served Uarhold by felling the hated merrow like grain before the tempest. This time, only the Palaggar notice is replaced and amended.

Both scrolls are replaced with amended forms, first in Uarhold and then in Palaggar. She remains tight-lipped about the newfound helm's origin, though Lordi may need to cleanse his temple's pool after Serrica wordlessly borrowed it to scour a staggering quantity of clotted gore from her breastplate, trousers, shield and helm alike.

A great, chaotic chorus sings to Uarhold from the Plain of Lakes, a symphony of discord sung in merrow war cries which yield to the gilled brutes' howls of anguish and the wails of pain and sealed fate, again and again. The familiar sea priestess confers with Lord Dert once more, then leaves his tower with a bulging bag of coin.
The next day, Uarhold's notice is replaced. The day after that, Palaggar's notice follows suit.

What I would sell from my many journeys:
A Javelin of Lightning With this javelin hurled, a bolt of lightning shall ride on its tail, smiting anyone near the target of your ire along with the target itself. I ask 600 Lions for it.
Krenshar Hide Ideal for leatherwork, yielding a proper suit of lightweight padded armor in the right hands.
Shark Skin Also ideal for leatherwork. What can you craft from it?
A Bar of Cold Iron Sturdy and unnaturally cool to the touch. In the hands of a proper smith, what might come of it?
A Bar of Adamantine The unbreakable metal of great renown. What armor and shields are wrought painstakingly from it shall be equally impervious.
Let us reason together, shall we?

Another revision finds its way to the halls of Palaggar's Waukeen Complex:
"Ahoy, ye heavy with coin. As an open trade town, Palaggar has much to offer for both you and me. And I am a sort who believes that knowledge, wisdom and revelation are commodities as much as anything else. And so, without any further ado...
What I wish to sell
A Pair of Coral Gloves I enchanted these gloves myself, with secrets which I zealously guard. But I will reveal this much: They bear the mystic sting of the uncanny fire coral in their blows, scorching what they strike and wracking the quarry with agony enough to stun him in his tread. Those who prefer to employ their fists in lieu of blade, bow or spell, take heed. I ask but 10,000 Lions for the pair.
A Bar of Cold Iron Sturdy and unnaturally cool to the touch. In the hands of a proper smith, what might come of it? I ask but 200 Lions for it.
A Bar of Adamantine The unbreakable metal of great renown. What armor and shields are wrought painstakingly from it shall be equally impervious. Can it empower blades and bludgeons as well? Aye, it can! I ask but 400 Lions for it.
And, as always, my priestly scrolls imbued with the powers of any holy spell, rite or orison can be scribed for rather affordable prices. Be sure to ask about my popular scrolls of Remove Disease (priced at 400 Lions), Raise Dead (priced at 1,400 Lions) and Resurrection (priced at 3,000 Lions), each scribed so simply and completely that even the crudest barbarian can draw forth their divine energies.
Let us reason together, shall we?
