*From a missive left with Captain Dickson Lords of Palaggar, with a request that he spread the word around town. For the sake of comprehension and heed, the missive is written in Chondathan, the native tongue of Cormyrian, Sembian and Waterdhavian alike.* "Ahoy, good people of Palaggar! Highharvestide comes swiftly as a gale, and soon shall the thirtieth of Eleint be upon us. Let us take this occasion to come together in fellowship, bask in our abundant harvests and ready our larders for the winter storms to come.
I understand that Cormyrians and Sembians tend to view each other with some measure of distrust in light of bygone wars, but Prespur is a wild island with countless dangers, and with those two homelands distant over the sea. Already have the healers of Palaggar striven to aid Uarhold's wounded in the wake of the merrow scourge, yet I believe that more can be done to bring both towns together in unity. And so I've invited the folk of Uarhold to come to Palaggar and join us in celebration on this cherished day, and to my seaborne gala in particular.
While Highharvestide is commonly celebrated by grace of crops and fields, most of Palaggar's prosperity is harvested from the sea. And so it seems wholly appropriate for me to host my gala aboard a goodly ship set to leave port at seventeen bells and roam the waters for the evening, that the sea's gods and masters may join us for our revelry. Together shall we give to the gods our thanks for Palaggar's food, libation, comfort and prosperity, for is Istishia not the greatest of the ocean lords?
Join me for Highharvestide, and let us welcome our brothers and sisters from Uarhold as they join our feast and share their bounties with us. Though the ship be stocked aplenty, feel free to bring whatever foodstuffs and drink you would share with your hearties and your fellows. Together, we can make this Highharvestide a festival to be remembered for many years to come!
Yours most earnestly, --Serrica Thallys Priestess of the Endless Waters"*...and from a smaller footnote appended to the first:* "Captain Lords,
Forgive the change of tone, but I have a matter of grave interest for you and the Purple Dragons, one which regards an ancient crypt, forsaken by man and god alike, in the Halfway Forest. Pray speak with me soon, for the crypt houses both a looming threat to Palaggar and one of your own fallen Dragons in need of a proper burial.
I shall be in Uarhold for the next two or three days, addressing their merrow problem. On my return, we may discuss the tomb and prepare a small party for a sortie. I can ensure their protection, and I've gathered everything that we need to breach the inner sepulcher. And there lie both your fallen Purple Dragon and the trail of a new threat hatched against us.
Maxwell at the Marvelous Mermaid can lead you to my room once I return. Thanky for your time.
--Serrica Thallys"

*Hours later, a similar missive finds its way to Lord Dert Marshall, Governor of Uarhold, along with a blood-steeped sack of merrow heads.* "Ahoy, good people of Uarhold! Highharvestide comes to us on frigatebird wings, and soon shall the thirtieth of Eleint be upon us. With this occasion, let us come together, find solace and fellowship in Uarhold's survival against the merrow and gird ourselves and our larders for the winter storms to come.
I understand that Sembians and Cormyrians do oft regard each other with no small distrust, as the wounds of bygone wars are slow to mend. But even the smallest child of Uarhold knows well that Prespur is a wild island with countless dangers, and both homelands are far too distant to aid against the merrow and their hidden master. Already have the healers of Palaggar striven to aid Uarhold's wounded in the wake of the merrow scourge, yet I believe that more can be done to bring both towns together against Prespur's many threats. And so I have come to invite the good folk of Uarhold to go south to Palaggar and join both me and Palaggar's prosperous brethren in celebration on this cherished day, and to come aboard for my seaborne gala launching from the docks there.
While Highharvestide is commonly celebrated by grace of crops and fields, most of Uarhold's prosperity is harvested from the sea. And so it seems most fitting for me to host my gala aboard a goodly ship which shall take to the waves at seventeen bells and roam the Sea of Fallen Stars for the evening, that the sea's gods and masters may join us for our revelry. Though Valkur has cast Uarhold aside, take heart! The seas and the oceans are home to many more gods, and already have I come to ye, O Uarhold, at my eternal liege's behest, to answer Uarhold's prayers and to take the fight to the heinous merrow beneath the waves, smiting them with blade and vengeful powers in their trenches, their shipwrecks and their grottoes. Is Istishia not the greatest of the ocean lords?
Join me for Highharvestide, and let us greet our brothers and sisters in Palaggar as we join their feast and share our bounties with them. Though the ship be stocked aplenty, feel free to bring whatever foodstuffs and drink you would share with your hearties and your fellows. Together, we can make this Highharvestide a festival to be remembered for many years to come!
Yours by sea and sky, --Serrica Thallys Priestess of the Endless Waters"// Eleint 30 = September 30. Seventeen bells = 5:00 PM...Central time, of course. I hope to see y'all then.

So we have food, and booze, and music instruments, and more booze, and milk and water for the lightweights who can't handle the booze... You know what's missing? You guys. Get aboard the Party Ship, mateys.

Wine, women, and some really awesome improvised songs. You guys are really missing out. We also have Quin Clue's shaggy, flea-bitten butt, but no party can be perfect.

Sashalla sings about dolphins because she's a landlubber. Real seafarers sing about sharks and sea giants and krakens and other oceanic bad-asses, because the sea breeds harder people. Believe it.

Looking back, Quin spent a lot of that time sitting around with "an empty cup ready to be filled with ale." Surely he didn't dare to think that Serrica and Sashalla were his serving wenches, did he? Go fetch your own blasted ale, you hairy tree-snogger.
